Foth is working through a long-term contract to provide strategic and multidiscipline services that improve the effectiveness of La Crosse County Disposal System so that the integrated solid waste management system can compete with landfill-only competitors in its vicinity.

Consulting Services:

• Developing a waste stream security plan that enables La Crosse County to exceed its contract for 73,000 tons per year with the local Northern States Power (NSP) waste-to-energy facility. By doing so, the County achieves increased revenue, alleviates the concerns of losing a fuel credit and avoids contract penalties.
• Developing a public relations/marketing brochure that highlights the unique and highly customer focused services offered by the County system.
• Conducting a comprehensive facility-wide audit to proactively identify and maintain compliance with state, federal, and local approvals and permits, and minimize operations costs.
• Providing high quality engineering services related to construction of the demolition landfill and the landfill gas collection flare.
