Printed Circuits Manufacturing
A major domestic electronic device manufacturer selected Foth to provide the instrumentation & controls engineering & design, electrical engineering, electrical construction bid package, on-site construction coordination and commissioning (start-up/checkout) services for a new printed circuit manufacturing plant in Asia while concurrently providing the same scope of services for a major capacity increase in their existing USA production facility.
Challenges:
- Coordinate the OEM's machine controls with the overall plant controls.
- Design all electrical and control systems to meet Asian codes, standards, utilities, using metric system for all cables and raceways.
- Design for continuous exposure to several corrosive chemicals.
- Work with Owner's process and project engineers to design and incorporate proprietary enhancements without disrupting schedule.
- Schedule required the installation and start-up of the production equipment concurrent with the construction of the building.
