Integrated Dispatch & Receipt (IDR) Program

A national program to automate and integrate dispatch and receipt operations with the existing or new conveyor systems.  The program included 418 facilities across the country with site specific system design and varying throughput requirements.

Challenges:

• Requiring close coordination between the program office and many installation sites, various contractors and OEMs.
• IDR systems had to be installed in operating facilities without impacting the ongoing processing operations.

Benefits:

• The program had an ROI of over 20%.
• Integrated operations provided improved processing flows.
