Beverage Packaging Line Rebuild
The owner of a major beverage producer needed to react to a marketing trend and produce a unique slim can and case for a new product offering. The company invested several million dollars in refurbishment of an existing line which would give it the capability to package the new product. The project would replace much of the outdated line equipment with state-of-the-art packaging technology.
Challenges:
- Responsible for the entire contract, "turnkey" with a performance warranty; concept layout, equipment procurement, detailed engineering, construction / installation, start up and testing.
- The schedule was compressed due to the line being taken out of production just as the peak production season was beginning. A rush was put on the project due to the Marketing reaction required.
- Integrating the existing line equipment with all the new components for a seamless layout and balanced line control.
