Key federal funding opportunities are now available to support critical upgrades in port infrastructure, resilience, operational efficiency, and safety. The FY26 BUILD Grant Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) has officially been released, with applications due February 24, 2026. Additionally, the FY26 MARAD Port Infrastructure Development Program (PIDP) is expected to announce its NOFO soon, alongside a projected budget increase aimed at strengthening the U.S. maritime transportation system.
