Consulting and Engineering Among Services for Accessible Sports and Recreation Complex

Foth congratulates the City of Waukee and Waukee Betterment Foundation on the grand opening of Triumph Park, a destination sports and recreation system serving residents and visitors of all abilities.

The 66-acre park will feature a sports complex with 12 softball/baseball fields, practice areas, concessions, parking, an 11-acre pond, greenspaces and trails. At the center of Triumph Park is a 15,000-square-foot EPIC Inclusive Playground built with mobility device access at various levels, rubberized surfacing, sensory features, STEM panels, shade structures, and accessible parking and restrooms. It will be situated near the Greater Iowa Credit Union Miracle League® Field and an ADA-compliant fishing pier.

In partnership with Confluence, Foth contributed a myriad of consulting and engineering services, including design assistance; site grading and stormwater pollution prevention controls; utility services design to concessions and restrooms; water main design for the entire site; and planning, design and construction of the roadway network surrounding the park.

“The City of Waukee’s mission to create an inclusive youth athletics complex that enhances the sport and recreation experience for people of all abilities is in direct alignment with Foth’s core values. Not only were we thrilled with the opportunity to collaborate on this project, we are honored to assist the Waukee Betterment Foundation with a donation to secure equipment for the new complex,” said Foth CEO Randy Homel.
