Foth has served as the current Indefinite Delivery provider of engineering services for the Des Moines International Airport (DSM) on all AIP funded and non-AIP funded projects since 2010. As DSM’s engineering services provider, Foth provides assistance with Airport Capital Improvement Program (ACIP) development, grant applications, and general airport advocacy to the FAA Central Region and the Iowa Department of Transportation.


During our time serving Des Moines, we have been responsible for a variety of services spanning numerous disciplines including program management, airside design, landside design, environmental compliance, surveys and mapping, construction services, airport planning, grant application assistance, regulatory agency advocacy, and GIS database management. Additional services for DSM include airfield electrical design, surface movement guidance systems (SMGS), structural evaluations, traffic planning, bridge design, safety management system (SMS) initiatives, and drainage studies.


Foth assists the Des Moines Airport in the management of an annual engineering construction budget of $10-20 million. During our time serving Des Moines, we have successfully completed numerous projects:
