Ready‑to‑Eat Meat Processing Expansion to Support Increased Production

Deli Brands of America, a producer of ready‑to‑eat meat products, experienced growing demand for its fully cooked and packaged offerings. To support this growth and meet evolving customer and regulatory requirements, the company pursued a ready‑to‑eat meat processing expansion at its existing facility. 

The expansion needed to increase production capacity while maintaining strict food safety standards associated with RTE operations. In addition, the project required careful coordination to ensure ongoing production could continue without disruption during construction. 

Approach

Our team supported the ready‑to‑eat meat processing expansion through facility planning, facility design, and construction services. Early planning focused on evaluating existing process flow, spatial constraints, and regulatory considerations unique to ready‑to‑eat meat processing environments. 

The expansion was designed to enhance separation between raw and cooked product areas, improve sanitary design, and support efficient movement of materials and personnel. Our team coordinated closely with plant operations to sequence construction activities and system upgrades in a way that maintained food safety and minimized downtime. 

Through a collaborative design process, the ready‑to‑eat meat processing expansion was tailored to support current production needs while allowing flexibility for future growth.  

Results

The completed ready‑to‑eat meat processing expansion increased Deli Brands of America’s production capacity and improved operational efficiency. The upgraded facility supports enhanced food safety controls, streamlined workflows, and greater consistency across RTE processing operations.
