Stand-Up Pouch Transformation

Background

The stand-up pouch had become a popular packaging format, and our client, a top U.S. confectionary company, desired to provide this type of packaging as their primary format.

Approach

We collaborated with our client to execute multiple packaging systems design and controls integration projects for the transformation of their packaging systems to produce the stand-up pouch.

These projects posed a challenging line layout that had to interface with existing product delivery and incorporate additional equipment required for the various carton and case configurations.

Results

Support started with capital budget planning and continued through start-up. Critical schedules were met and the new packaged rolled out successfully across their network.
